Last entry i posted about our year play. I focused more in the acting rather than the production task which was the most stress-ant thing i ever known.
This entry would be focused in production task. Production tasks helps you to organize your things, be responsible and work as a team. Even though this year it didn't showed to much team work, we focused more in finishing our tasks and being the bests. Still, I did help Kenzo with some colors and design of costume.
At this production task work, we had to create the atmosphere and superficial part of the scenario with the most minimal things.My production task was about make up. First i thought it was really easier because of my already finished drawings of makeup but the hard part was coming. The buying.. that reminds me i gotta ask Mr. Mitchell to pay me because of its treat of turning back my money.
Make up turned to be really awesome. The one i liked the most was the kumadori because it made the facial features to enhance more which was the japanese´s point.
I learnt the colors meaning, the lines meaning and that´s it. Like kabuki is a superficial play, the most important thing is to obtain a perfect look. And also to showoff the characters.
My character of the spider was quite a weird one. No background to hold off. Even though, i had moreless an idea it was really hard to start to making it.
I found that music really helps a lot with acting when i was practically on stage. I mean, ive already seen that by being part of the audience. But now it was different when it came to me to be part of that acting. I felt my body was able to follow more less a rhythm instead of just moving the steps. I felt it had more sense and even though it might sound weird, i felt as if the whole scene i was suppoused to dance. My brother keeps bothering me telling me that i was dancing the shakira moves!
But now i think a little bit more, for making this kind of spirit i did inspired myself in some characters as a lion focusing its pray. I just didn't though of that i actually sometimes, as when it was the exorcists entry , i though of a hungry animal looking its food and actually felt it.
But, i must admit it was really strange.
What i was asking my self was... music is suppoused to follow the characters or are the characters the ones who follow it? Because in most of the parts i though of myself following it but in others it was as it followed me
Nice entry. And yes, you danced. As you were meant to. Your analysis of your work is getting better, but it always seems as though your evaluation prevents you from really getting to terms with it. Adjectives like "strange" or "weird" take you nowhere. You are either IN or OUT. Your choice.
